John Reed’s walk with God began at an early age.  He strayed from the will of God for twenty years, ending up in and out of prison from 1988 to 1998.  While incarcerated in February 1996 he gave his life to Christ and has been walking with the Lord ever since.

After being incarcerated for 5 and half years he relocated back to Fort Worth, Texas.  John Reed united with East Saint Paul Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor L.S. Wilson, where he became deeply rooted with the word.  When he

acknowledged his calling he confided to the pastor that he used to think that he was not good enough to serve God.  Pastor Wilson told him, “God can use anybody.”

Currently employed with AHF , he is making a difference in the lives of others.  He is devoted to his church and work, he was a youth pastor for 7yr at New Harvest MBC, under the leadership of Pastor Clyde Downs. Under this leadership, God has taken him to his next level in this walk. He attended divinity classes at Trinity Valley Seminary College. He is excited to be a family man and will continue to faithfully give his time to the ministry.  He followed the calling to become the Pastor of Walls Of Jericho Deliverance Church in June of 2017.

John accepted his call to spread the gospel in November 2004.  His affirmation was held on Sunday, February 6, 2005, when he delivered his Superbowl sermon. On June 18, 2017, God called him to organize his own church Walls Of Jericho Family Church later became Walls Of Jericho Deliverance Church. One of Reverend Reed’s favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5,6.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.”
